For the past three weeks or so, these comments - which number in the thousands, the majority are blocked by my spam filter thank goodness - have been of such utter inanity and worthlessness, you have to wonder if the creatures that typed them in are not part of some other-worldly satanic locust-like plague whose only purpose on earth is to "afflict the comfortable."
Wait, "comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable" ? Hmm... sounds familiar.
So, sorry COTTers. You will have to go through that awful word verification thing to prove you're not a nigerian locust.

It's surely a simpleton's attack.
The counter-attack would be 4 steps.
1)BackTrack the IPs.
2)Social Engineer the attackers to find their associates.
3)Compromise one to find the richest backer of the group.
4)Sue the group and of course the richest backer.
It's not a state-level operation. Probably a couple hundred thousand to do the whole thing with a few people.
No guarantee of finding a really deep pockets co-conspirator, unless of course your host might be doing a little disparate impact.
